Ivano Zuliani

Over the years Ivano Zuliani has gained a lot of experience in the field of laboratory facilities and lab equipment. After his analyst training in technical microbiology at the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek Institute in Delft, Ivano started working at the BCS Bacteriological Control Station in Katwijk in 1984. After having worked in the microbiology lab for a number of years, he made the internal transfer, after which he was engaged within the BCS as a QC inspector and later as “trouble shooter” at food production companies.

From 1989 to 1998, Ivano Zuliani worked at Rentokil Initial, where he was active within the Industrial Hygiene Division as a commercial kitchen hygiene consultant. Ivano later, together with two colleagues, further developed and professionalized a new specialism within the division namely; “the cleaning and disinfection, periodic inspection of air treatment systems and installations”.

From 1998 to 2003 Ivano Zuliani worked for Köttermann laboratory equipment, where he started as an engineer and later as a sales manager responsible for the design and realisation of laboratory project equipment. During this period as consultant and project manager he paid a lot of attention to the ergonomic aspects and modular design of laboratories. Optimal safety, flexibility and durability were core values he strived for.

From 2003 to 2009, Ivano Zuliani worked at Fisher Scientific. Starting as a sales manager at Fisher Scientific (later Thermo Fisher Scientific), Ivano was then responsible as General Manager of the company Labotech, a business entity for sales, consulting and service of laboratory equipment. He integrated this company into the Fisher Scientific organization. After this period, Ivano was active as marketing manager of Fisher Scientific Netherlands and participated in the European marketing team of Fisher Scientific Europe.

In 2009 Ivano Zuliani recognised that product development, high quality research and innovation combined with optimal safety and sustainability were becoming increasingly important in research institutions and Dutch business. Using his knowledge, experience and network of business partners and manufacturers, he decided to establish Labolutions BV.
